Activities that we participate in include:
Book Club: The book club meets once a month (usually in the evening). We pick a book to read and all meet up to discuss our thoughts on the book.
Crafts and Coffee: New to the Club is our Crafts and Coffee morning that will replace Kids Klub. This is an opportunity to let the kids explore their creativity while the moms get a chance to catch up.
Field Trips: Each month field trips are planned to entertain the kids in our area. The club tries to get a good mix of free outings as well as trips to local venues, such as Johnson's Farm or the Discovery Museum.
Fundraising: Throughout the year we find opportunities to raise money for deserving causes, such as ,charities or local families in need.
Helping Hands: One of the ways we provide support to our Moms is helping during times of upheaval or stress. If you are ill, have had a death in the family, recently welcomed a new baby, etc. our Moms will bring you meals.
Holiday Parties: We have Easter, Halloween, and Holiday parties, as well as, a kick off party and end of the year party. We provide food, games and activities for the kids.
Moms Night Out: Once a month we meet for dinner, a movie, bowling, pottery decorating, dessert, etc. so moms can socialize.
Monthly Meetings: On the days where we do not have a party or other event we have speaker meetings planned on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. We get speakers who provide information of interest, leading discussions about child behavior, college saving, budgeting, coupon clipping, etc.
Newsletter: We publish a newsletter via email once per month. It includes facts about our group, upcoming activities, interesting info about our members, recommendations of products and websites from our members, recipes, and advertisements. If you are a local business and would like to advertise in our monthly newsletter, please check out the FAQs for pricing.
Playgroups: Playgroups consist of 4-8 moms and are set up according to the age of the children. Playgroups schedule their meeting time according to when everyone in their group is available. Based on the schedules of the members the group can meet weekly, biweekly or monthly.
Service Projects: Throughout the year we offer service projects to give back to our community and to teach our kids about giving back. We visit local seniors during several holidays, run diaper drives and have participated in Earth Day activities.
* Each activity is run by one or more of our moms as a committee chair. Our club could not make this happen without the participation of our members.
